There seemed to be a lot of hype before the match surrounding how good Egypt were and how much of a test this friendly would be for the England team ahead of the World Cup finals. It seemed justified hype when Egypt took the lead. If England are to be real contenders to win the World Cup a home game versus Egypt should not be viewed as a problematic fixture! The 3 second half goals (Crouch 2, Wright-Phillips 1) ensured it wasn't. Here are some pictures of the match which gives us the first fixture in the new away kit.
This last picture is not too complementary to the 2 scorers!
