2010 World Cup Draw

So England will play USA (12/6/10) Rustenburg, Algeria (18/6/10) Cape Town and Slovenia (23/6/10) Nelson Mandela Bay/Port Elizabeth in Group C at the World Cup in South Africa.

Assuming England top Group C they will play the runners up of Group D, which could be Germany, Australia, Ghana or Serbia. After that England would play the winners of Group A or runner up of Group B, which is where the likes of France and Argentina are......

England are seeded and in pot 1 as below. There is nothing too scary in pot 2 or pot 3, please comment if you see it differently. Pot 4 could provide some interesting knock out stage matches for England e.g. v France or Portugal.

Pot 2: Australia, Japan, North Korea, South Korea, Honduras, Mexico, USA, New Zealand

Pot 3: Algeria, Cameroon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay

Pot 4: Denmark, France, Greece, Portugal, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland
